First lady Michelle Obama plays hopscotch in India at a cost of how many millions a day?

Nice to see the First Lady letting her hair down and kicking up her feet. Better get all your partyin’ in on the people’s dime for remaining time in the White House.

I wonder how many hundred thousands of dollars for each hop is costing the American people? Hey, maybe she can do a “bettering the economy” dance while she’s at it. It couldn’t hurt worse than her husband’s woeful economic policies like cash for clunkers. Remember that one? That really did the trick, huh?

The New York Post reports that after a tough week in the White House, First Lady Michelle Obama had a reason to dance.

The president's wife kicked off her flats and played hopscotch with 8- to 13-year-old orphans and runaways from an Indian charity at the University of Mumbai yesterday.

The youngsters, wearing their salwar kameez — traditional long shirts and baggy trousers — and glittering dupatta scarves giggled as Mrs. Obama jumped into the game of vocabulary-building hopscotch.

"I love dancing. Oh that was fun!" said the first lady, who banged on a tambourine as they danced to the theme song from the
Bollywood movie, "Rang de Basanti."
